I am excited to make a difference in the lives of young people by training educators, school leaders, and other changemakers using the latest research available and conducting new studies and other relevant research.
Research
My main area is of research centers around school transformation through an equity lens including closing gaps in achievement and opportunity between white and non-white students, students from families of higher and lower incomes, and other groups of students. Much of my work also looks at new and effective ways to communicate with the school community and the innovative use of technology while advocating for the access to arts for all. My dissertation, conducted at USC was "Closing the Achievement Gap: Breakthrough in the Urban High School".
